The People

The Samburus are one of the last warrior tribes of Africa. Their language and traditions are very similar to that of the Massai. Their cattle are their livelihood.

 

 

 

 

 

As semi-nomads they mostly live in small communities of four to ten cattle owners. Their homes are low windowless huts made of plaited rods and covered with mud, animal skins and sometimes grass mats.
